TITLE: IMPORT/ EXPORT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
FLSA: EXEMPT

General Summary
Coordinate majority of efforts to ensure all International shipments, both Export and Import, are properly screened, documents are accurate, records retained for five years and assist in audits by Government agencies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the classification of material and preparation of all documents required for International shipments.
1) Accurately classify new part numbers using the IAN process. This includes export classification as well as Harmonized Tariff/Schedule B.
2) Provide specific Country of Origin for all new part numbers created.
3) Execute screening process at specified points in the order process.
4) Conduct periodic audits of export transaction files to verify compliance and completeness of documentation from an export control perspective.
5) Assist International Sales in the determination of export license requirements for specific order.
6) Serve as primary contact for Sales regarding classification, documentation and license requirements for Intentional shipments.
Provide internal support to the international sales and marketing department by providing necessary information on issues related to compliance.
Answer customer inquiries regarding documents associated with International shipments.
Ensure NAFTA, CAFTA and other governmental regulations regarding export shipments are followed
Communicate regularly with forwarders to ensure documents provided by Greenheck are accurate.
Job Specifications
Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.
3 through 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience is required.
High level of analytical ability required. Analysis may require extensive research and the combining of data into new findings or presentation format. May require creativity and formulation of possible solutions to address problematic findings.
